KANATA – This Saturday is your chance to meet the man behind the fish behind Huntley Creek.

Children’s author Dan Mayo and illustrator Jana Rothwell will be doing a book reading for his book Freddie Redfin, The Story of Huntley Creek at the Chapters Bookstore at the Kanata Centrum Chopping Centre Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The book was written as an adaptation of the struggle of Carp residents opposed to a concrete batching plant being proposed near a residential area.

Mayo will be playing Freddie’s theme song We All Live Donwstream and other sing-a-long kids’ songs. Both Mayo and Rothwell will be available to sign books.
