WEST CARLETON – Your stuck at home anyway, might as well dress up the house for the holidays. Do a good job and Coun. Eli El-Chantiry will throw in a prize for good measure.

El-Chantiry is hosting a Holiday Decorating Contest this Christmas season. The contest is simple. Decorate your home, take a photo of your decorating skills and email that photo, along with your name, address and phone number, to Ward5@ottawa.ca.

As we head in to a holiday season that will be a very different experience this year, I’m hoping to provide a little festive fun for my community,” El-Chantiry released in a statement yesterday (Dec. 2). “Residents of West Carleton-March are invited to participate in my virtual Holiday Decorating Contest. My staff and I will choose the top three entries and I will personally deliver the baskets to the winners. We can’t wait to see all of the wonderful ways you decorate to celebrate the season.”

Submission deadline is noon on Dec. 20. Winning photos and residents’ names may be published on El-Chantiry’s social media as well as in other communications.
