Drop-in badminton in Kinburn

KINBURN – Spend your Wednesday’s chasing a birdie around the Kinburn indoor badminton courts.

The West Carleton Adult Recreational Badminton Club (WCARBC) is off and running for another season in the Stonecrest Elementary School gym Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Calling all West Carleton badminton players,” the WCARBC released in a statement. “Looking for an evening of exercise and fun? Come out to the West Carleton Adult Recreational Badminton Club where you can play each Wednesday at Stonecrest Elementary.”

Players of every skill level are welcome, from beginner to more skilled recreational participants.

The league started in September but still has room for players.

Stonecrest Elementary School gym is located at the intersection of Kinburn Side Road and Stonecrest Road. Drop in fee is $5 for a single guest per evening. Membership is open to those 18 years and older Members’ kids 15 to 17 can also join.

“Players should bring their own racquets and wear non-marking soft-soled shoes,” the WCARBC said. “The club supplies nets and birds. Participants pitch in with court set-up and take-down.”
