Driver crashes way through uOttawa campus (VIDEO)
OTTAWA – A bizarre incident involving a driver of a stolen vehicle crashing his way around the campus of uOttawa has resulted in several criminal charges related to the vehicular rampage.
Many bystanders captured video of the incident on Twitter yesterday (March 20) as a man roared around the campus on Laurier Avenue in a vehicle, colliding with several other vehicles until the car he was driving could no longer operate. Following a short chase, Ottawa police arrested the man.

On Wednesday, March 20, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Ottawa Police received multiple calls of a possible impaired driver. A number of collisions occurred in the Byward Market, Sandy Hill and Lees Avenue areas before the male driver abandoned the involved stolen vehicle.
The male was arrested by responding frontline officers and Bikes and Beats Unit officers a short distance away from the vehicle.
There were no injuries caused by any of the collisions. Marc Andre Fournier, 36-years-old of Ottawa, was be held for a bail hearing on March 21. Following an investigation by Central Criminal Investigations Fournier is now facing several charges including theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation, failure to stop at an accident, resisting arrest, assault, failure to provide a sample and other charges related to the incident.
