Diefenbunker celebrates visitors today

CARP – The Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum, is celebrating Visitor Appreciation Day today (July 24).

“This Wednesday is our first Visitor Appreciation Day and we’re celebrating with two for one admission,” museum staff released in a statement. “To make the deal even sweeter, the first 25 people through our blast doors will receive a special gift, courtesy of the museum.”

Two-for-one passes include a museum visit for two, the opportunity to win prizes and a chance to spin the “wheel of discounts.”

The non-profit charitable museum relies on visitors for 75 per cent of the museum’s operating funding.

“You are helping us keep our blast doors open and our educational programs running,” staff said. “We want to say, thank you.”
