Corkery Community Association thanks garden club

CORKERY – The Corkery Garden Club is instrumental at making the Corkery Community Centre beautiful during West Carleton’s snow free months.

And the Corkery Community Association (CCA) wants to thank them for the effort.

“We would like to acknowledge the efforts of the Corkery Garden Club for maintaining the garden area around the community centre,” the CCA released in a statement today (Oct. 28). “This past summer, several members volunteered their time to ensure the gardens were watered and kept weed-free.”

The Corkery Garden Club is a group of like-minded residents who live in and around Corkery. They meet informally several times a year to exchange ideas about garden design, best plants suitable for Corkery’s zone, participate in creative workshops, as well as, attend private garden tours.

New members are welcome. For further information, please contact Carole Anne Parnell at caparnell18@gmail.com.
