CORKERY – The Corkery Community Association (CCA) executive will share details on the year that passed and the year that’s coming at its Annual General Meeting next week (Tuesday, March 12).

The meeting gets underway at 7:30 p.m. at the Corkery Community Centre at 3447 Old Almonte Rd.

“Our new board will be elected and there will be updates on the rink cover project and park accessibility upgrades,” CCA President Katherine Woodward released in a statement. “We would love to hear from our community on what is important to you.”

Topics that will be covered at the meeting include the election of officers, the annual financial report, city funding, a rink update, a new website, t-ball, yoga, playgroup and discussion on the CCA’s annual events such as Family Day, Canada Day, Clean-up Day, the Concerts in the Park series and the Christmas Tree Lighting.

During last month’s Family Day at Corkery event, Woodward said there would be a special announcement at the meeting.

“It’s going to be a very interesting AGM,” she told West Carleton Online.
