Constance Bay market kicks off this Saturday

CONSTANCE BAY – It’s been a long winter but it’s time to officially kick off summer with the inaugural Constance Bay Community Market set for Saturday, June 8.

This year’s market was delayed by extreme flooding in Constance Bay this spring, but now they are ready to return to their stomping grounds at St. Gabriel’s Church.

“Make sure to come out for opening day on June 8,” market manager Cindy Pratt said. “The St. Gabriel’s Parish annual yard sale and the CBCM are joining forces for the first market of the season this year – it’s going to be a great time”

Stock your fridge and pantry with fresh veggies and fruit, honey, maple syrup, jams, jellies, pickles, and baked goods. Add artisan clothing, jewelry and accessories to your wardrobe for a new look, and choose some lush bath and body products for a relaxing spa experience in the comfort of your own home. Delight your family and friends with thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts and treat yourself to some unique handcrafted decor to beautify your space.  Satisfy your hunger with some ready-to-eat food.  You’ll feel great knowing that you’ve supported local farmers, gardeners and entrepreneurs.

“The market is a great social venue to connect with friends and neighbours, and to find out more about what our great community has to offer,” Pratt said. “Pick up a cup of freshly brewed Barking Barista coffee to enjoy while you’re shopping; visit with representatives of local community groups to learn more about their initiatives, all while enjoying live music provided by our entertainers.  Remember to pick up a bag of Barking Barista coffee to take home – this year we can grind it for you.” For more information on the market, click here.
