Colossal Carp garage sale June 8

CARP – It’s going to be huge!

The Huntley Community Association’s annual Carp Colossal Garage Sale is eight days away. The huge event featuring tables and stalls from all over the Carp community is set for a week tomorrow.

“On Saturday, June 8, in the W. Erskine Johnston Arena, you will get the chance to buy the treasures you have been looking for,” the HCA released in a statement. “There will be tables galore and lots of great deals. You can reserve a table to sell your own stuff for only $10. Come on – empty that basement, extra room, tool shed. Click here to reserve a table.”

The sale opens at 8 a.m. and runs to 1 p.m.  in the arena at 3832 Carp Road, at the Carp Fair Grounds.

Money raised at the event goes to support HCA programming. The HCA is still looking for volunteers to help with set-up and tidy-up.  Eligible for volunteer hours for students.  If interested, please contact volunteer@hca-carp.ca

While your dropping by to score your latest bargain, bring your old electronics as there will also be a metal and electronics recycling drive – all metal types and electronics accepted.

A metal recycling bin will be located next door to the outdoor rink at the Carp Fairgrounds.

“At the same time as the 2019 Colossal Garage Sale, there will be a convenient environmental opportunity for the community to divert recyclable materials from the city’s waste facilities and fund ongoing and future HCA initiatives,” the HCA said. “Bring all of your old scrap metal that you’ve been meaning to throw out. Oh, and at the same time, what about those old electronics. Here’s your chance to clear them out of your basement.”

Unless you think eight-tracks are making a comeback.
