City recreation programming in West Carleton

WEST CARLETON – Registration is now open for Ottawa’s fall and winter recreation programming and you will find lots to do in West Carleton.

Residents can go online to review the Recreation eGuide. Some programs of note to Ward 5 residents include:

  • Pickleball (for seniors):  On Saturday mornings from 8 to 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s School in Fitzroy Harbour. Program begins Sept. 28.
  • Pickleball (for adults): On Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Michael’s School in Fitzroy. Program starts Sept. 28.
  • Badminton (for families): On Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9p.m. at St. Michael’s School in Fitzroy Harbour. Program starts Sept. 25.
  • Stretch & Strength (adult group fitness):  On Monday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Kinburn Community Centre, 3045 Kinburn Side Road. Program begins on Sept. 23. If you would like to try this class out beforehand, adults are invited to attend a free Try It Stretch & Strength Fitness class on Sept. 9 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Kinburn Community Centre. Participate to see what the class is all about.
  • Yoga (adults):  On Monday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Fitzroy Community Centre, 100 Clifford Campbell St. Program begins Sept. 23.
