City crews respond to Orleans tornado

ORLEANS – City crews are responding to damage from a confirmed tornado that Orleans north of Highway 174 and east of Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard yesterday (June 2).

The city is in enhanced operations for this incident. Residents are asked to avoid damaged areas.

 There have been reports of power outages, damaged property and fallen trees. One person is being treated for a minor injury. Emergency services are assessing the need for assistance and first responders are completing door-to-door checks in the area. Ottawa residents are asked to remain patient as workers respond to calls on a priority basis.
