City cancels summer council meeting, reschedules finance meeting
OTTAWA – Due to a light legislative agenda, the City Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 28 has been cancelled.
The cancellation is in accordance with the city’s Procedure bylaw.
“Committee reports and other agenda items previously scheduled for this meeting will be considered at the next regular council meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11,” City staff released in a statement yesterday (July 26).
Due to the Labour Day long weekend, the Finance and Economic Development committee meeting, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 3, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Champlain Room.
