CHA talks highs and lows of cannabis

CARP – Carp Health Access (CHA) is bringing in the experts to talk about a variety of issues surrounding the recent legalization of marijuana.

“CHA is thrilled to present the next event in our Community Education Series on Saturday, May 25, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Carp Memorial Hall,” board member Tara Azulay released in a statement. “Medical marijuana has been legal in Canada for several years. Recreational cannabis just received the green light. Later this year you may find it added to foods and drinks. Is cannabis safe to consume? Where can I buy it? What are the legal implications? Where can I find reliable answers to my questions? We’ve put together a panel of experts who will present information, answer your questions, and help you make informed decisions.”

The panel includes:

  • Sylvia Chan – West Carleton Family Health Team
  • Mark Asfar – Momentum Law
  • Michelle Davis – Canopy Growth
  • Rebecca Trueman – Lifted Spirits
  • Representatives from Ottawa Public Health and the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre

Refreshments and time for further one-on-one questions and networking will follow the presentation. Ample free parking is available and this event is wheelchair accessible. Attendees must be 19 years of age or older. Reserve your seat here.
