CBBCA offering babysitting courses online

CONSTANCE BAY – The one thing the pandemic has taught us is just how much can be done online.

The Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association (CBBCA) has taken full advantage and is now offering training courses online.

A popular course currently being offered by the CBBCA is the Helping Hands Babysitting Course.

“We are very pleased to announce that Helping Hands First Aid, our usual certificate training provider, has created a special hybrid instructor lead and online course for both Babysitting Certification and Red Cross First Aid,” the CBBCA released in a statement. “These courses are offered at a $10 discount for CBBCA members, just follow the link below and enter promo code ‘CBBCA’.”

To participate in the babysitting course, you must be above the age of 11 or have completed Grade 5.

While courses through June are now full, there are several spots still available in July. Click here to see availability.

“Our babysitting course offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11 to 15 years old,” Helping Hands released in a statement. “Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families.”
