CARP – Heading in to the holiday season, retired farmer Carole Ittermann won’t have any problems willing out that Christmas shopping list after winning $250,000 with Instant Double Diamond.

“I revealed the prize amount on my ticket and turned to my husband and said, ‘I think we won $250,000’,” Ittermann said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

The retired farmer called her daughter to tell her the news about her big win.

“She yelled and cheered and came over to see for herself,” Ittermann said.

Ittermann says she plans to save her winnings for now.

“We will put it in the bank until we can visit more of the world,” she said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Terry Fox Drive in Kanata.

OLG is now accepting in-person prize claims by-appointment only for customers with prizes of $1,000 or more who wish to claim at the OLG Prize Centre.
