Carp Fitness Park reaches financial goal

CARP – The proposed Carp Fitness Park has reached its fundraising goal.

“We’re thrilled to send out this status update on the Carp Fitness Park,” Carp Health Access (CHA) released in a statement today. “We have raised the required funds which the city will now match, and we’re on our way to seeing the park built. Big thanks.”

Donors of $1,000 or more will receive recognition on a plaque at the site of the park, as well as a plaque they can display in their home or office, and recognition on the CHA website and social media pages.

“We’d also like to acknowledge the many, many donations from all the fine folks who are passionate about making this park happen,” the CHA said. “Every dollar counted, and we could not have done it without your support.”

Now that the fundraising goal has been reached, which the City of Ottawa will match, the city will tender the project and select a vendor to build the park.

“We don’t have specific timelines on this process but will keep you posted as we have updates,” the CHA said. “There are other initiatives around the park project that still require funding (signage, education, insurance, etc.), so we’ll happily continue to accept donations. If you’d like to offer your support, please click here.”
