Carp Farmers’ Easter Market cancelled
CARP – No surprise to anyone, another major West Carleton event has been cancelled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of West Carleton’s signs of spring, the very popular Carp Farmers’ Market Easter Market has been cancelled.
“The health and safety of our community and vendors remains our number one priority and for that reason we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Carp Farmers‘ Market Easter Market that was scheduled for April 11,” market manager Ennio Marcantonio released in a statement earlier this week. “We remain hopeful our season will open as planned on Saturday May 9 and will keep you all informed of future events. Thank you for your continued support of our local vendors.”
The Carp Farmers’ Market has grown in to one of the largest and most popular in Ottawa and features many West Carleton based vendors.
“Farmers‘ markets like ours would not exist without people like you who choose to support and shop local, Marcantonio said. “This year marks our 30th year of business and we remain forever grateful for your support.”
Marcantonio says the market’s website is a great way to contact any of the vendors directly.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to remind you that our website www.carpfarmersmarket.ca has all of our Carp Market vendors featured with links and ways to contact these local businesses directly for some amazing products, delicious and nutritious produce and beautiful craft items,” he said. “Please feel free to contact us through social media if you need help finding a particular vendor. We know we are all trying our best to support our community at this difficult time. It‘s in times of difficulty where the strength of our community shines brightest. Thank you.”
