Carp Commons supports seniors at home program with butterflies
CARP – Pay a beautiful tribute to your loved ones’ memory by releasing a monarch butterfly on Aug. 19.
The Carp Commons Retirement Village is hosting a fundraiser for the Arnprior McNab-Braeside Seniors at Home program.
The fundraiser will be an Aug. 19 ceremony where those who purchase a live butterfly can take part in a butterfly release which will happen at the front lobby of the Carp Commons at 10:30 a.m.
“It’s a beautiful way to remember your loved ones,” Carp Commons marketing manager Rebekah Gunning told West Carleton Online. “And it’s a great fundraiser for an important program that serves seniors in West Carleton.”
The Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home Program Inc. Is a non-profit charitable organization assisting and cooperating with other agencies in the administration and delivery of client centered community support services to encourage independent living and enhance the quality of life of seniors and individuals with special needs.
The deadline to purchase butterflies in Friday, Aug. 9. One butterfly starts at $25 with discounts for multiple purchases. The live butterflies will be released at the ceremony.
