CANCELLED: Carp Fair truck pull this Saturday
UPDATE, 06/14 – The Carp Fair announced today the truck and tractor pull has been cancelled due to poor weather.
“We are sorry to announce due to the persistent, wet, weather conditions the Carp Truck and Tractor Pull on Saturday, June 15 is now cancelled,” organizers wrote on Twitter today (Jne 14). “On behalf of the board and event organizers, we apologize for the circumstances and short notice.”
CARP – The hay is cut and the field is ready for the annual Carp Fair Truck and Tractor Pull this Saturday (June 15).
“The hay in the field was cut yesterday (June 6),” Carp Fair President of Agriculture Doug Norton told West Carleton Online from last Friday’s (June 7) Mayor’s Rural Expo. “We’ll get it all cleaned up for Saturday and go from there.”
The annual event is a popular draw for locals and city slickers alike. It’s a test of strength and engineering in several classes. Trucks and tractors of all makes and models will compete in 16 different classes.
Food vendors will be on-site. Registration starts at 10 a.m. with the first pull scheduled for noon.
The field is located at 3629 Carp Road.
