Camping, drive-ins, batting practice now permissable in Ontario

Province loosens more emergency order restrictions today

ONTARIO – There is a little more to do today (June 1) now that the government of Ontario has loosened more of its emergency order restrictions.

As of today, campers can return to provincial parks, with certain stipulations, while drive-in movie theatres and batting cages were also allowed to re-open yesterday (May 31). Backcountry camping will be available at Ontario Parks, including access points, paddle and portage routes and hiking trails. Ontario Parks will also be expanding day-use activities to include picnicking and off-leash pet areas.
