Calls down nearly 100 in Lanark County OPP weekly round-up
LANARK COUNTY – Maybe it’s the festive season, but the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 340 calls for service between Nov. 30 and Dec. 7.
That’s 90 fewer calls then the last round-up published on Nov. 16, although motor vehicle collisions are still quite high.
Last week the Lanark County OPP responded to 48 collisions, one less than in the last round-up. Of those collisions, 24 involved an animal.
On Dec. 2, a 37-year-old resident of Lanark Highlands was charged with one count of assault as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Jan. 25, 2021.
On Dec. 3, a 55-year-old resident of Tay Valley Township was charged with three counts of assault as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
On Dec. 3, a 32-year-old resident of Beckwith Township was charged with one count of failing to comply with probation order as the result of a domestic investigation.
On Dec. 3, a 37-year-old resident of Perth was charged with one count each of assault, uttering threats to damage property and disobeying an order of the court as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Feb. 22, 2021.
On Dec. 5, a 29-year-old resident of Mississippi Mills was charged with one count of mischief as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Jan. 11, 2021.
On Dec. 6, a 58year-old resident of Carleton Place was charged with one count of assault as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Feb. 22, 2021.
The Lanark County OPP investigated nine non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 13 theft complaints during the past week and six incidents of mischief and/or property damage during the past week.
The Lanark County OPP investigated five reports of fraud during the past week.
