C Bay market AGM April 13

CONSTANCE BAY – It’s time to learn how the 2018 Constance Bay Community Market season went and get ready for 2019 as the CBCM hosts its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, April 13.

“The CBCM board of directors would like to thank you, our vendors, volunteers, and market friends, for your support and participation last market season,” the CBCM released in a statement today (April 5).

Market manager Cindy Pratt spoke with West Carleton Online shortly after the season ended, last fall as the market wrapped up its third season.

Now the board will share the nuts and bolts of the season at the NorthWind Wireless Fibe Centre at 262 Len Purcell Drive starting at 10 a.m.

Because it’s a market AGM, expect some sweet treats – market vendors Barking Barista coffee and Bake My Day will be serving beverages and goodies.

“This is an election year at the CBCM and we’re looking for community-minded individuals to join our board of directors,” the CBCM said, “We’re also looking for volunteers to join our crew during the market season to help with tasks such as setting up and tearing down, making and serving coffee at the Welcome Tent, assisting vendors and visitors, communicating on social media, and placing and removing road signs and posters. The CBCM aims to be a social destination with a small rural village feel, highlighting local vendors and promoting community initiatives. With your involvement, we can make this another successful and enjoyable season.”
