C Bay creative writing group launches Oct. 11

CONSTANCE BAY – Residents with a love of writing are invited to attend the first meeting of the Constance Bay Creative Writing Group Friday, Oct. 11.

The club will meet weekly at the NorthWind Wireless Fibre Centre Studio Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“In a relaxed fun atmosphere, various styles of writing will be explored including memoirs, poetry, letters, personal essays, short stories and more,” lead organizer William Coombes said. “Hope to see you there.”

This program is the first to be launched under the umbrella of the newly invigorated Constance Buckham’s Bay Community Association 55+ (CBBCA) group. Although there is currently no age restrictions to attend, Coombes advises the group is targeted at an adult group.

This an amazing weekly gathering for those who love to write and let their imaginations flow,” Jo-Ann Campbell said.

The writing group is one of the first programs the CBBCA 55+ group is launching as it works to revitalize its programming offerings to the Constance Bay senior community.
