Arnprior to host provincial flood meeting, June 23

ARNPRIOR – Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski is expected to be in attendance in public flood meetings being held around Renfrew County next week.

The Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, municipal leaders, provincial and federal representatives and other organizations with various levels of responsibility for the Ottawa River are expected to be in attendance.

Arnprior is expected host one of the information sessions on Sunday, June 23 at 1 p.m. at the St. John Chrysostom Parish Hall on Albert Stree.

Other sessions will take place on Saturday, June 22 at the Pembroke and Area Community Centre at 9 a.m..

Property owners in the Township of Laurentian Valley, the City of Pembroke, the Town of Petawawa, the Town of Laurentian Hills, the Town of Deep River and the Township of Head, Clara and Maria are invited out to the public meeting to ask questions and view presentations.

Additional meetings will take place in Eganville on June 22 at 1 p.m. at the Eagle’s Nest and at the Westmeath Arena, Sunday June 23 at 9 a.m.
