Arnprior’s 2020 budget passes

ARNPRIOR – The Town of Arnprior has set its spending limits for the 2020 year during the Monday (Feb. 11) evening council meeting.

 Ratepayers can expect to pay 1.58 per cent higher than they did the previous year. The increase equates to a hike of just over $6 a month for a home assessed at average market value, or about $72 more a year. Town beancounters expect the operating expenses to keep the municipality running will total $22.19 million,. The town has budgeted spending on various capital projects to come in at $3.1 million in 2020.
