Arnprior man found dead in flood waters
ARNPRIOR – Residents battling the Ottawa River in Arnprior made a gruesome discovery Sunday evening (April 28) when they found a body in flood waters on Riverview Drive.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the call around 8:30 p.m. where they located the deceased body in the waters by the road. Riverview Drive runs along the eastern side of the Madawaska River between the weir at Madawaska and the opening of the Ottawa River.
The road has a steep but short hill where flood waters have been known to collect at the bottom of the road near the ABBA ball diamonds.
The deceased has been identified as Russell Rouleau, 34, of Arnprior. Rouleau had also been reported missing on April 28. It’s not known if any charges have been laid.
The OPP continue to investigate.
