Arnprior Fair finds a home for 2019

ARNPRIOR – There will be an Arnprior Fair this year and it will be in a new location.

Arnprior Fair board President Brad Runtz posted on the event’s Facebook page the Arnprior Fair is relocating to leased property on the Arnprior Airport land.

The Arnprior Fair president says hard times compelled them to put the Galvin Street property up for sale, in a deal that finalizes at the end of this month (May).

The former fair lands will become a subdivision.

The fair board looked at several properties in nearby McNab-Braeside, but ran into logistics difficulties with both access and availability.

Runtz indicates the announcement reflects the determination of the fair board to forge forward.

Access to the site will be off Van Dusen Drive, with parking for 200 vehicles on site.

Runtz says pay one price admission will continue for the August attraction.
