Almonte COVID-19 testing clinic moves to new location
ALMONTE – The COVID-19 Testing Clinic in Almonte has moved to the Octagon Room, located at Almonte General Hospital (AGH). This new location offers an indoor testing space for patients.
The testing clinic is open daily for pre-booked appointments. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms can make an appointment by calling 613-325-1208. Messages are retrieved from the answering machine from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. A scheduler will call back to book an appointment. No walk-in patients can be accommodated.
“The Octagon Room has its own entrance,” Mississippi River Health Alliance communications lead Jane Adams released in a statement today (Nov. 27). “There will be signage to direct patients to the entrance and parking in front of it. Patients will be asked to sanitize their hands and wear a mask. Only essential escorts are permitted (for example, a translator for language barrier). Please bring your health card or one piece of identification. There is no access to the Testing Clinic from the hospital’s main entrance.”
Children under two years of age cannot be tested at this clinic. Please call your local Primary Care Provider or Telehealth Ontario to arrange local assessment and testing. Testing is also available through CHEO’s Emergency Department (under six months), or through a dedicated CHEO team at Brewer Park in Ottawa (six months and older).
