About 10 cm of snow expected Monday afternoon
WEST CARLETON – The first snowstorm of the season is heading this way Monday afternoon (Nov. 11).
Environment Canada is issuing a winter weather travel advisory starting Monday afternoon which is expected to last in to Tuesday morning.
“Snow will begin Monday afternoon and continue into early Tuesday morning,” Environment Canada released in a statement Sunday evening (Nov. 10) around 11 p.m. “Total snowfall amounts near 10 centimetres are possible.”
Travel will be impacted due to accumulating snow, particularly during the Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning commutes.
“This snowfall is due to a developing low pressure system which will track south of the lower Great Lakes on Monday,” Environment Canada said. “There remains some uncertainty regarding the track of the low, and the expected snowfall amounts.”
Environment Canada will continue to monitor the situation.
