A pile of snow possible tomorrow
WEST CARLETON – The lion that is the end of March plans to roar at least one more time as Environment Canada issues a special weather statement for Friday.
“Snowfall amounts of five to 15 cm Friday and Friday night,” Environment Canada said in a special weather statement released at noon (March 21). “A low pressure system will track northward along the Eastern Seaboard Friday. Precipitation will begin tonight as rain and mix with snow by morning. Snow may be heavy at times Friday and Friday night.”
Snow amounts will depend on the exact track of the low. Most areas will receive five to 10 cm of snow, with local amounts of 10 to 15 cm possible. The highest amounts are likely to be for regions along the St. Lawrence River.
Impacts on transportation are likely with this event.
