2020 budget consult coming to Kinburn, Oct. 22

KINBURN – The City of Ottawa has laid the path and now its coming to Kinburn to get community direction on the 2020 city budget.

Coun. Eli El-Chantiry and city staff representatives will set up shop at the Kinburn Community Centre (3045 Kinburn Side Rd.) on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 7 to 8 p.m. to receive community comment West Carleton-March.

“Ottawa residents will have several opportunities in the coming weeks to inform the city’s draft 2020 budget,” City of Ottawa staff released in a statement today (Oct. 10). “Starting on Tuesday, Oct. 15, City councillors have organized a series of multi-ward sessions where residents can share budget comments and provide input on priorities and potential savings.”

Ward 5 is the only ward in the city to have a meeting that will be a single-ward focus.

“City staff will consider the suggestions and ideas arising from these consultations as they develop the draft budget, which will be tabled at city council on Wednesday, Nov. 6,” staff said.

The city has budget background information and resource materials to help you contribute to the conversation at the consultations.
