KINGSTON, ON – Spearhead Brewing has announced the release of two 2020 vintages in its Artisan Series, an “exclusive line showcasing reimagined variations of Spearhead brews, proudly released in partnership with local distilleries.”

Barrel-Aged Belgian Style Stout (6% abv) is described as follows:

Our award-winning Belgian Style Stout is brewed with Trappist Ale Yeast, aged for 12 months in Canadian whiskey barrels, and then naturally carbonated and conditioned, cask style. This rich and complex stout offers a luscious creamy texture, subtle notes of cacao and espresso, and a velvety, dry finish.

Barrel-Aged Big Kahuna Imperial IPA (10% abv) has the following notes:

Our Big Kahuna Imperial IPA is brewed with Cascade, Warrior, and Hallertau Blanc hops, aged for 12 months in Canadian whiskey barrels, and then naturally carbonated and conditioned, cask style. This Imperial IPA features delicate spice and oak notes, hints of caramel and licorice and a smooth, dry finish.

Both beers are available now alongside the 2019 Artisan Series vintages – Rum Barrel-Aged Stout (10% abv) and Moonshine Barrel-Aged Stout (10% abv) – at the Spearhead retail store and online shop.
