Sawdust City Brewing Launches Lager Series with Soft Bodied Pils and You Know What Really Gets My Goat? Bockbier
GRAVENHURST, ON – Sawdust City Brewing has announced the release of the first two in a new series of limited edition lagers, created in collaboration with brewing supply company Brew Culture.
Soft Bodied Pils (5.2% abv):
We took the brand new German hop, Tango, and put a new twist on an old style. Tango is a German-bred hop variety that brings those big, oily aromatic and flavour qualities you normally find in North-Western American hops. It’s the best of two worlds! This New World Pilsner has a simple, soft, and hazy body with a bold hop aroma.
You Know What Really Gets My Goat? Bockbier (6.6% abv):
Pouring a rich, nutty brown this massively malty lager cascades as the carbonation slowly makes its way to the lip of the glass. A pillowy and off-white head settles. Aromas of sweet, malty bread and roasted nuts are present. These aromas lead right into the flavour as the fuller mouthfeel coats the tongue. Sweet without being cloying, flavours of toasted bread lead the way. A long finish with a lasting malt forward impression. This is a complex lager that needs to be sipped to be enjoyed.
Both beers are available now at the Sawdust City retail shop and online store. The series will continue next Wednesday April 7th with the release of Gravenhurst Stream California Common and Dave’s Affordable Dortmunder.
