Burdock Brewery Releases Grand Fresco Grape Ale
TORONTO, ON – Burdock Brewery has announced the release of what they declare to be “Our Most Powerful Grape Ale… Ever.”
Grand Fresco (11.7% abv) is described as follows:
To make GF we started by resting our barrel-aged base beer (aka our secret sauce) on freshly pressed Cab Franc skins (both whole cluster and destemmed) for 77 days, then we blended it with 45% Cab Franc by volume. After 6+ months of bottle conditioning, Grand Fresco is drinking beautifully and is ready to delight you with its unprecedented concentration of grape energy. Brace yourself for barreling notes of bubbly barolo yolo, this powerhouse is the Pavarotti of our grape ale program. Imagine yourself body surfing a wave of tart black currant jam with a sugar cone of rich blackberry sorbet in your right hand – frothing clouds of aromatic grape foam splash in your hair. Make sense? Perfect.
Grand Fresco is available along with several other grape ales that have been released recently – including Sainte Violette (10.9% abv), Lyra (7.6% abv), Jobolais (8.8% abv), and Cabrusco (10.3% abv) – at the Burdock retail store and online shop.
