Bearhill Brewing Brewpub Chain Releases First Call IPA for Alberta’s First Responders

CALGARY, AB – Alberta’s Bearhill Brewing family of brewpubs has announced the release of a new charity beer in support of the province’s first responders.

First Call IPA was created by the brewers at Last Best Brewing & Distilling (Calgary), Campio Brewing (Edmonton), Banff Ave Brewing (Banff), and Jasper Brewing (Jasper), and is described as follows:

First Call is an approachable blood orange IPA featuring notes of tangerine, grapefruit and lime, with a blood orange twist. The name First Call is a reminder of the integral work of first responders – the first call you make on your worst day, and a playful twist on the term “last call.”

“Our first responders have been silent heroes throughout these challenging times,” said Adam Snelling, Operations Manager for Bearhill, in a statement. “We want to do what we can to demonstrate our support and honour their invaluable impact in our communities.”

First Call is available now at all four Bearhill locations, and select liquor stores in Alberta. $2.50 from each 4-pack of cans sold will go to Legacy Place Society, an emotional support service for first responders, and a portion of proceeds from brewpub draught sales will help a local charity in each community.
