2 Crows Brewing Releases Collaborations with Orono Brewing and Block Three Brewing
HALIFAX, NS – 2 Crows Brewing has announced details of two collaborative beers that were surprise dropped over the weekend to wrap-up a series of 4th anniversary releases.
Deux II (4.9% abv):
Deux II is a foedre aged sour with local cherries, that we brewed in collaboration with our Maine pals Orono Brewing in summer of 2019. Some of you might remember this zesty little beer from our 3rd anniversary when we first released it. We held onto a bunch of kegs of it for a year, and re-packaged into little cans to bring it back into your hands this year! Jam packed with a bright cherry zip, with a jolly rancher sorta thing going on, lively and fun. A bit of marzipan and cinnamon as it warms, and just the right amount of fruity funk.
Wish You Were Here (4.6% abv):
This is a little saison we (kinda) brewed with our Ontario BFFs Block Three Brewing. But, like, we didn’t actually physically brew it with them because of this whole global pandemic thing, instead we just facetimed and sent harassing text messages to Kevin and ate a lot of pizza.
Each brewery brewed a beer with a high percentage of rye and raw wheat, and hopped assertively with some nice herbal hops. We fermented it with a blend of our individual house cultures, and allowed the beer to carbonate naturally once packaged. This beer is very lively, make sure you refrigerate it for at least 24hrs and have a glass ready when you crack the can. Funky, earthy, bitter, and floral, it’s everything we want in a crushable saison.
Both beers are available now at the 2 Crows retail shop and online store.
